A couple of tense days behind us and our Zibah had a hard time in the run up to the moment of giving birth. We kept an eye on her and she proved herself to be a great girl. Monday the 13th of January the delivery finally began. At 11.30 her water broke and the first puppy was born at 12.45, a male. In the course of the afternoon another 3 puppies followed, but the fatigue started to take its toll on Zibah. In the meantime constant contact was kept with the veterinarian for updates. From the beginning it was clear that Zibah would have a fairly large litter. It was decided to go to the clinic at 17.30 for an X-ray. This showed that six more puppies would still have to be born. Unanimously a caesarean section was decided to save the expectant mother a further exhausting labour with all its risks and after one hour there were 6 healthy and lively puppies. Zibah withstood everything very well and is now enjoying her motherhood to the fullest. The puppies all doing just fine and are growing steadily under her good care and attention. We are very proud of her and are going to enjoy a nice puppyhood which we like to share with you on the site and in social media.
